Historical Background
Enderlein began his study of cancer in 1931. His studies were published in 1937. He wrote that an endogenous polymorphous microorganism living in blood causes cancer. In the ensuing years, Enderlein ascribed responsibility for other chronic illnesses to the same microorganism.
